innerhaven is under construction…literally! (well actually it’s finished and ready, so take a look here)
When we complete the renovations (May 2008), innerhaven will provide quality self-catered accommodation for 2-6 people in Innerleithen – a picturesque little town in the Tweed Valley area of the Scottish Borders. And when it’s ready we hope it’ll be the perfect place for our guests to ‘rest. relax. recharge.’
innerhaven is the ground floor of a characterful old whinstone house built in the mid 1800′s. Lovingly refurbished, our self catering apartment is perfectly located for outdoors lovers and visitors to Southern Scotland – only seconds away from some of Scotland’s best mountain biking, fishing, golfing and walking.
With stunning scenery on our doorstep, and only 30 minutes to Edinburgh and the East coast, and meandering roads in all directions, it’s a popular base for touring this amazing part of Scotland.
And if exploring sounds just too strenous and you’re idea of heaven is to curl up on the sofa and relax, we bet the tumbling Leithen Water at the foot of our wee garden will have you nodding off in no time at all!
innerhaven benefits from spacious rooms and easy access throughout. And as the name suggests the apartment provides a warm, luxurious, relaxing and particularly practical place to stay in the Scottish Borders.
Flexible accommodation is what you’ll find in innerhaven.
Lee Pen is our master en-suite bedroom and sleeps 2 in either king size double, or twin bed configurations.
If you draw the long straw and bag this room, you can luxuriate in your very own shower, the perfect way to reflect on a great day’s riding at Glentress, or contemplate the miles covered on the Southern Upland Way.
Caddon Bank is the larger of the two rooms and sleeps 4. Like Lee Pen you can enjoy an extra large double, or twin beds – and there’s a comfortable bunk bed too that’s not just for the kids!
And although Caddon Bank doesn’t have its own loo, there’s a second bathroom just off the hall – so there’s no need to queue for that long hot soak you deserve after a trip round the 7 Stanes. And for those that don’t mind sharing, your ‘close’ friends can enjoy a nice hot shower – it may not be the world’s largest bathroom, but it’s perfectly formed!
The rear of the house is where you’ll want to rest. relax. recharge.
It’s an airy, high ceilinged room – with exposed beams, and the tumbling waters of the Leithen providing a soothing backdrop as you organise dinner, or just chill out on the sofa.
The has all the mod cons you’ll need – whether for a quick snack or a sumptous banquet – and includes washer/dryer and dishwasher. And if you can’t face doing the cooking or the laundry, let us know – we’ll take care of it for you!
There’s room for 6 at the dining table – and being open-plan it’s the perfect place for socialising – but innerhaven has plenty of nice neuks and crannies too, so you’ll find your own space to recover from, or reflect on the days events.
Flop on the sofa, grab a book, map or magazine from the shelf…and relax!
And if you’ve got a big day tomorrow, you can fettle with your gear until your heart’s content – we’ve provided a secure area adjacent to the living room where you can work on bikes, store your golf, walking or fishing gear…
